St. Vincent Orthopaedic Institute, on the first floor of the S. Mark Taper Foundation Building, 2200 W. 3rd Street, Suite 120A. Downstairs from the Joint Replacement Institute, the orthopaedic institute is the latest hospital facility to be added to increase othopaedic services. It occupies 4,000 square feet, including eight exam rooms, an on-site imaging center, and doctors’ offices.

The doctors at the institute are well-known L.A. orthopaedists, who have experience in all adult orthopaedic diseases. They perform treatments in the institute, from casting of fractures to pain management of bone, joint and spinal problems.

With the on-site imaging center and an electronic medical records system, patients can be evaluated and given appropriate care on-site.

If surgery is necessary, St. Vincent Medical Center’s Operating Rooms are equipped for orthopaedic surgeons to perform minimally-invasive, image-guided surgical procedures.

St. Vincent Spine Institute

When pain interferes with walking or even sitting, you may need an evaluation of your spine. Some symptoms are of more immediate concern, like loss of bladder  control — you need to see a doctor quickly for an evaluation.

Back pain is a signal of pressure on the nerves of your spine. Spine specialists at St. Vincent Spine Institute, 2200 W. 3rd Street, Suite 120B, take care of patients with all types of spinal problems, including malalignments, bulging disc, herniated disc, pinched nerve, spine scoliosis, spinal stenosis, spinal tumors, and bone spurs.

Spinal orthopaedists and neurosurgeons at St. Vincent Spine Institute use a conservative approach to caring for their patients. They begin by making an accurate diagnosis, then use physical therapy and pain management clinical treatments before considering surgical options.

When surgery is indicated, St. Vincent Spine Institute orthopaedists use minimally invasive techniques with image-guided technology at St. Vincent Medical Center to achieve the best outcomes with the fastest healing time for their patients.
