Rousing Team Spirit and Raising Donations Through the Rock ‘n Roll Run
Dec 13, 2018 | St. Francis News
On October 28, St. Francis Medical Center Foundation and St. Vincent Foundation took on the Rock ‘n Roll Run in downtown Los Angeles. An annual event organized in cities throughout the country and across the globe, the Rock ‘n Roll Run provides organizations such as St. Francis the opportunity to raise money for worthy causes.
Madelene Carpinteyro, Marjorie Parsons, Derek Drake, Teri Pasion, Maria Cainas, Gilda Acosta, Becca Brockmeyer, Leah Schwartz, Cesar Guillinta, Denise Spagnola, Jeff Barrinuevo, Karen Chapman, and Myrna Ypil represented the St. Francis Team and completed either the 5K or half-marathon course to raise funds on behalf of St. Francis Medical Center Foundation’s W.I.N.G.S. Campaign.
W.I.N.G.S. stands for “When in need, giving saves.” The campaign supports the emergency needs of fellow St. Francis employees. The St. Francis Rock ‘n Roll team raised more than $5,600 through donations from family, friends, and colleagues, reflecting the care and support that staff have for one another.
Thank you to those who donated and supported our cause, and a SPECIAL THANK YOU to those who participated in the run!
